Warm up this Winter with development workshops that will expand your practise.
Weave will be offering a series of workshops, ideal for artists who identify with having a disability and are wanting to broaden their experience in drama, theatre and movement. The workshops will be facilitated by Weave Artistic Director Janice Florence and Drama Instructor Zya Kane.
Florence has trained in dance in both Australia and the USA. For 10 years, she was a performer, teacher and researcher with State of Flux, one of the first Australian companies to include a dancer with a disability. She has been Artistic Director of Weave for 20 years.
Kane is a performer, director, producer and teacher. She has worked with theatre companies including, Chapel of Change Butoh/Dance Company, and as a performer and assistant director with Michiko Gaulier (Ecolle Phillip Gaulier) and company ITAP/Paris. She has been Teaching workshops passionately for over 12 years with people of all ages and abilities. Zya has trained and worked in many different acting and movement disciplines.
